All ResuPulse templates produce clean, complete resumes. The differences are about layout trade-offs, not quality.
The engines
- Single-column (modern, minimal, classic, ats) — one column, top to bottom. This is the most reliable layout for ATS parsing, because the reading order is unambiguous.
- Sidebar — a colored sidebar beside the main content. Visually distinctive, but some older parsers read sidebars less reliably. Templates flagged as not ATS-friendly in the gallery use this layout.
What ATS-friendly means on this site
It means single-column, standard headings, and text the parser can extract in order. It does not mean the template guarantees you will pass any specific employer's system — no template can promise that.
How to choose
- If you apply through large-company career portals, pick an ATS-friendly single-column template.
- If you hand your resume to a person (email, networking, creative fields where the design itself is a signal), a sidebar template is a reasonable choice.
- Do not spend long here — content matters far more than the frame. You can test the final export with the Resume Parser Test and switch templates later without losing content.
