Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ResuPulse collects, how it is used, when it is shared with trusted service providers, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you. We explain our privacy practices in clear, straightforward language so you can understand how your personal information is handled when using our website, AI-powered resume tools, and related services.
Plain-English Summary (TL;DR)
ResuPulse extracts text from uploaded resumes so our AI-powered tools can analyze your content and generate feedback. The extracted text is processed by our backend systems and securely sent to a third-party AI provider to generate results. For these tools, we do not intentionally retain the uploaded resume PDF as a permanent file after processing, although we may store analysis results, filenames, file sizes, content fingerprints, and related processing metadata to support your account, guest usage, product features, fraud prevention, and service reliability. Career applications follow a separate process: resumes submitted through ResuPulse Careers are securely stored for recruitment purposes. We never sell your personal information. Sections 1, 3, and 5 explain these practices in more detail.
Resume PDFs Are Not Permanently Stored for AI Tools
For AI resume tools, ResuPulse extracts the text required for analysis. Uploaded resume PDFs are not intentionally retained as permanent files in our database or cloud storage after processing unless the specific feature requires storage.
Analysis Results May Be Saved
Analysis results, filenames, file sizes, content fingerprints, and processing metadata may be stored to support your account history, guest usage, product features, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
Career Application Resumes Are Stored Securely
Resumes submitted through the ResuPulse Careers application process are stored separately in private Cloudflare R2 storage so our hiring team can review applications.
We Do Not Sell Personal Information
ResuPulse does not sell personal information to recruiters, employers, advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
You Control Your Account Data
Signed-in users can request account deletion, export available account information, and manage stored data through supported account settings.
You Choose Cookie Preferences
You can accept, reject, or customize optional analytics and advertising cookies using our consent banner. Essential cookies remain enabled because they are required for core site functionality.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 AI Tool Uploads and Inputs
When you upload a PDF to the Resume Analyzer, Role Match, Resume Comparison, Cover Letter, or LinkedIn Optimization tools, our backend reads the document and extracts the text needed to provide the requested service. Depending on the feature you use, the processing input may also include information that you provide, such as a job description, company details, or sections of your LinkedIn profile.
The extracted text is processed by our backend systems and securely sent to a third-party AI provider to generate AI-powered results. For these tools, ResuPulse does not intentionally retain the uploaded PDF as a permanent file in object storage or save its raw file contents as part of the tool's database records after processing. This statement does not apply to resumes submitted through ResuPulse Careers.
We may store processing metadata such as the original filename, file size, processing timestamps, status, and a one-way content fingerprint that helps identify duplicate submissions and improve service reliability. ResuPulse does not use uploaded resume content to train its own AI models and does not share that content with recruiters or employers unless you intentionally submit it as part of a Careers application.
1.2 Tool Results
ResuPulse stores completed and failed processing records for both signed-in users and guest users. Depending on the tool, stored results may include resume scores, ATS analysis, keyword findings, AI-generated suggestions, resume comparisons, cover letters, LinkedIn optimization results, and other generated content. LinkedIn analysis results may include profile text that you submitted because it is displayed alongside suggested improvements.
Results associated with a signed-in account are available through that account. Guest reports are not linked to an account and may be accessible to anyone who has the report link or report ID. Please avoid sharing guest report links if you do not want others to view those results.
1.3 Account Information (Optional)
If you create a ResuPulse account, we may collect:
- Your name and email address.
- A securely stored password hash for password-based accounts. We never store your plain-text password.
- Your authentication provider and provider identifier when you sign in using a supported social login provider.
- Account creation, verification, session, and security-related timestamps.
1.4 Technical and Usage Data
We process technical information that is necessary to operate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot the ResuPulse platform, including:
- IP addresses and request information used for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
- Request timestamps, request paths, request identifiers, and processing status.
- Error messages and diagnostic information when requests fail.
- Device, browser, page, and interaction information when you have consented to analytics cookies.
ResuPulse does not intentionally include complete resume content in routine application logs. However, because infrastructure providers and software platforms may include limited diagnostic information when unexpected errors occur, we cannot guarantee that every error log is completely free of personal information.
1.5 Job Applications (Careers)
This section applies only when you apply for a position through the ResuPulse Careers pages. Unlike resumes uploaded for AI-powered tools, recruitment information is retained so we can review, evaluate, and manage your application throughout the hiring process. Depending on the application, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and any other information you provide in the application form.
- Your uploaded resume and supporting application documents, which are stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage.
- Assessment responses, assessment results, and, where recording is required and you grant browser permission, audio or video recordings submitted during assessments.
- Application status, interview history, offer history, recruiter notes, and other records related to your candidacy.
We use this information solely to review and manage your job application. If you would like to request access to or deletion of your recruitment information, you can contact us at [email protected].

3. Third-Party Services
3.1 AI Inference Provider
ResuPulse uses a third-party AI provider to generate AI-powered analysis and content. Depending on the feature you use, extracted resume text, job descriptions, LinkedIn profile content, or other information that you provide may be securely sent to that provider to generate the requested results.
The AI provider processes this information under its own privacy policy and terms of service. Its data retention, processing locations, security practices, and model-training policies are controlled by the provider and may change independently of ResuPulse.
3.2 MongoDB Atlas (Database)
We use MongoDB Atlas to store account information, tool results, processing metadata, application records, support information, and other product data. Depending on the feature, stored records may include filenames, file sizes, processing metadata, scores, AI-generated content, and analysis results. Uploaded PDF files used with AI tools are not intentionally stored as part of these database records.
3.3 Hosting, Storage, and Edge Security
ResuPulse uses AWS infrastructure to host the platform and securely store Careers application files. Cloudflare provides DNS, content delivery, performance optimization, and edge security. These providers process technical request information, such as IP addresses, request paths, and timestamps, to deliver, secure, and maintain our services.

These files are accessible only through authenticated application processes for recruitment purposes and are stored separately from files uploaded to the public AI-powered tools.
3.6 Analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity)
ResuPulse uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to better understand how visitors use our website. Analytics technologies are enabled only after you provide consent where required. These services may process information such as device details, browser information, page views, clicks, scrolling, navigation patterns, and other interaction data under their respective privacy policies.
ResuPulse does not intentionally send uploaded PDF files or extracted resume text as analytics event data.
