One thing to keep in mind: guest results are still saved on our servers, and anyone who has the report link can open it.

If you have a specific job in mind, use Role Match, which compares your resume against that exact posting. If you are writing a resume from scratch or reorganizing an old one, use the Resume Builder. Yes, and it is a good place to start. Use the Resume Builder to lay out your education, projects, internships, coursework, and skills in a clear order. Run a draft through the ATS Resume Checker to see what is working. When you apply for a specific internship or entry-level role, use Role Match to tailor it. Just make sure everything you list is real and something you can talk about in an interview. No tool can promise you a shortlist, an interview, or a job.

Right now the resume analysis tools accept text-based PDF files up to 5MB. A PDF keeps your layout looking the same on any screen, but that does not mean every system will read the text in the right order. So before you apply anywhere, follow the employer's upload instructions, make sure your text is selectable (try highlighting it), and check the exact file you are sending with our Resume Parser Test.

It varies. The time depends on how long your document is, how busy the service is, and how quickly the AI provider responds. You will see a progress indicator while it works, but we do not promise a fixed time. If a run fails or seems stuck, keep your original file, read any error message shown, and try again in a bit. A delay usually is not a sign that something is wrong with your resume.

On the Free plan you currently get unlimited resume analysis, plus a set number of cover letters, role matches, comparisons, and LinkedIn reviews each month (guest and rate limits still apply). An ATS-friendly resume uses plain text, clear section headings, and a layout that software can read in a sensible order. A single-column design is a safe default, though it is not a hard rule for every system. Things like tables, text boxes, images, scanned pages, and content stuffed into headers or footers can confuse the parser. When in doubt, follow the employer's file instructions and test the actual text your file produces.

ResuPulse scores your resume across six areas, each with its own weight: ATS compatibility (25%), keywords (20%), experience impact (20%), content quality (15%), role matching (10%), and structure (10%). The score is a tool to help you compare drafts and decide what to fix first. It is not a copy of Taleo, Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, or any employer's private system, and it cannot tell you whether you will get past a real screen or land the job.

The letter grade simply groups your score into bands so you can see at a glance which draft needs more work. It is not a cutoff that employers use, and it does not mean an ATS will accept or reject you. The useful part is the breakdown below the grade. Read it, fix the issues that you can actually back up with real experience, then run the next version using the same file and settings to see if it improved.

Not in the ATS Resume Checker. That tool does not see a specific posting, so its keyword feedback is general and based on your resume and the context it can infer. When you want feedback for one exact job, use Role Match and paste in the full posting. It compares your resume against the words and requirements in that description. And a word of caution: only add a keyword if it honestly describes your background. A missing term is not a reason to claim experience you do not have.

Think of the suggestions as drafts, not final answers. They are generated from the content you provide, so they can point you toward clearer wording, but they can also miss context, overstate something, or make up a detail. Always check each suggestion against your real work, keep it in your own voice, and delete any number, tool, responsibility, or result that is not true. We do not treat generated wording as fact, and neither should you.

A few things could explain it. The score follows our rubric, which may weigh structure, keyword coverage, and evidence differently from how you would judge your own resume. On top of that, how your file is read can change the text the tool actually receives. Instead of reading the total as a verdict, open the category breakdown and look at the extracted content. A lower number here does not mean an employer will reject your resume.

Yes, if you are signed in. Your analyses show up in your account history, within your plan and saved-report limits. You can open two reports side by side and compare their category scores after making a few targeted edits. Just remember that a higher total does not guarantee a better result with an employer. Use the comparison to see how your changes moved the score within our rubric. Guest results are saved on our servers too, but they are not tied to an account history.

For the public AI tools, your PDF is sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection and read to pull out the text. We do not deliberately save the PDF file itself to our database or storage. The extracted text does, however, pass through background processing and go to a third-party AI provider so it can be analyzed. We save the results and some processing details on our servers for both guest and signed-in runs. Resumes sent through our Careers section follow a separate, private hiring flow.

It depends on how you used the tool. For the public AI tools, we do not deliberately keep your PDF as a file, but the extracted text is processed by our systems and a third-party AI provider. Reports tied to your account need your login to open. Guest reports, on the other hand, can be opened by anyone who has the link or ID. Resumes sent through Careers are stored privately for the hiring team. The simple rule: do not share a guest report link with anyone you would not want to see the result.

We do not use your resume content to train our own AI model. Your resume text and other inputs are sent to a third-party AI provider so it can analyze them, and that provider's own policies cover how it handles, keeps, and improves its models with data it receives. For analytics and advertising, we follow your consent choices where they apply, and we do not intentionally put your PDF or extracted resume text into analytics events.

If you are signed in, you can permanently delete your account from Settings, which removes the product records covered by that process. For guest reports, we do not yet offer an automatic expiry or a self-service delete button. So if you need a guest report removed, or you have another specific request, contact support with the report link or ID and the team can find the record for you.

Yes. On the results page you can create a PDF report that includes your score, the category details, keywords, suggestions, and other findings from that run. Have a quick look at the file before you rely on it, since the layout and included sections can change as we improve the report. And please remember it is an educational tool, not an official ATS result, so do not present it as one to an employer.

Yes, when you are signed in your results are saved to your account history. Both Free and Pro accounts keep their full report history — there is no saved-report cap on either plan. Guest reports are stored on our servers but are not organized into a private history you can browse. The Pricing page has the current side-by-side comparison.

Absolutely, and this is where the tool is most useful. Make a few targeted changes based on the suggestions, upload the revised resume, and compare the new score with the old one. Each run is saved separately in your history, so you get a clear before-and-after record. Processing is usually quick, though the exact time depends on resume length and how busy the AI provider is, which makes it easy to keep iterating between edits.

The ATS Analyzer reviews one resume on its own, without any specific job in mind. Role Match takes your resume and one job description you paste in, then compares your experience against the skills and requirements in that posting. Both give you a product score to guide your edits, not an employer decision. Use the Analyzer for a general checkup, and use Role Match when you are tailoring your real experience for a particular role.

The Resume Builder gives you clear sections, recognizable headings, and templates that keep your important information easy to read. No template can promise it will work with every parser out there, and the PDF you export can depend on the layout you pick. So treat the builder as a strong starting point: add only true content, export the file, check that the text is selectable and in the right order, and follow the employer's upload instructions.

It can draft a letter that fits your role using your resume text, the job description, and the settings you choose. But the draft can still include generic lines, the wrong emphasis, or details you never gave it. Before you send anything, check the company name, the role, the dates, the examples, and every claim, then adjust the tone until it sounds like you. A generated draft is a starting point, not a finished application.

You paste in your resume or profile text, and the LinkedIn Optimizer reviews your headline, About section, experience, skills, and more, then returns a score and suggested edits. It does not log in to LinkedIn, change anything on your profile, copy LinkedIn's private ranking, or predict whether recruiters will find you. Check every suggestion first, then apply the ones you like to your profile by hand.

Free accounts get unlimited analysis plus monthly caps on the heavier tools. Prices can change with your billing cycle, your location, or a current offer, so the Pricing page and the live plan list are always the real source.

Yes, you can cancel from the billing screen, and your access follows your subscription status and billing cycle. It helps to check that screen before you confirm, so you can see exactly when your access ends. If the cancel button does not go through, contact support with your account email and the transaction reference. Never send your password or any login token in a support message.

Deleting your account is permanent. It removes the account and the product records covered by the deletion process, and it signs you out everywhere. Some data handled by a separate flow, such as Careers application records, may need its own request. Download any reports you want to keep before you confirm, because the account history cannot be brought back through the app afterward.
