What Happens to Your Uploaded Resume

Where your file goes, what is stored, who can see it, and how to delete it.

Updated: Sep 18, 2026Help Center

Your resume contains personal information, so this page keeps the explanation short and factual. The full legal detail is in the Privacy Policy; this is the practical version.

What happens when you upload

  • The file is uploaded over an encrypted connection and processed to extract its text and structure.
  • The analysis runs on that extracted data to produce your report.
  • Your first analysis does not require an account.

What is stored and who can see it

  • If you run a tool while signed in, the report is stored so you can reopen it from your history.
  • Reports are tied to your account — report links do not work for other people. Guest reports created without an account are the exception: anyone who has the report link can open it, so treat that link as private.
  • Uploaded resumes are processed by the providers listed in the Privacy Policy's provider FAQ.

Deleting your data

  • Delete individual reports from your history when you no longer need them.
  • You can delete your account and its data from your account settings page.
  • Questions or deletion requests you cannot complete in-app can go to [email protected].

What we do not do

We do not sell your resume data, and we do not use your resume to train models.
